Since AbiWord still tend to crash every now and then (especially when selecting a text and then right-click copy or cut), wouldn't it be a good idea to set the default Autosave preferences to "every 1 minute" (i.e. as often as possible). Also, I think that it should not be possible to step down to "every 0 minute" since that corresponds to having the checkbox unchecked.
If abiword crashes it is supposed to save a .CRASHED file that is a dump of the current document. Not 100% guarantee but efficient. BTW, 1 minute is too short.
On my computer, AbiWord has crashed several times. I've checked and found no .CRASHED file, not in the AbiSuite folder, nor in that specific directory where the actual document were. Anyway, why would 1 minute be too short?
What platform are you on? I agree with Hub that 1 minute is too short, so I'm closing this bug. You can always change the default in the preferences dialog anyway. Seeing as how Autosave is disabled by default, this isn't even an issue...
Right now, I'm using Windows (ME) only. Then again, shouldn't the lowest value be "1" in stead of "0", assuming that zero equivalents to having the checkbox not checked.
Closing as per instructions on abiword web site regarding QA TO VERIFY INVALID.
Changing version from 0.9.0..0.99.5 to pre-1.0 to reduce version cluttering. All of these versions are considered obsolete too.
