Description:   Opened: 2001-08-02 07:09
Just installed Ver 9.0. I had previously used ver 7.14-2 (and previous). When
calling up an .abw document previously edited in older versions, certain words
(my name, etc.) were marked as misspelled. Using the right mouse button, I
used the pop-up menu to try to add the marked word to the dictionary. It was
still marked as misspelled. I also tried to add by invoking the spelling
function, but this did not work either. This function worked correctly in all
previous versions of AbiWord, so this is a regression.

I am not seeing this problem at all. What if you create a new document. Do you
still see the same problems?

------- Comment #2 From John Raines 2001-08-03 04:32:16 -------
Yes, I see the problem in other files. Spelling Add function does not work on
my system at all no matter where the file comes from. The old file did work
correctly in previous versions. I uninstalled ver 0.7.14 before installing ver
0.9. Nothing appeared unusual when I installed the new system. The system is
AMD k6-200 running windows 98se.

I also cannot reproduce this bug
