The "check version" option under the help menu doesn't appear to do anything. (Abiword 0.9.0, Windows 2000)
On Linux it's worse. It's wrong. I have: http://www.abisource.com/users/check_version.phtml?version=0.7.14 But it says: You do not have the current version of Abiword! You are missing the following new features: 0.7.12 0.7.11 Also: If the passed version is higher than the current release (which will happen if you run beta's or CVS) it should have a different congratuations.
Today is 8 August it works for me on Windows98. (i checked with Mozilla .9.3, Netscrap 4.7, and MS IE5.5) im using abiword version 0.9.0-1
This has basically been fixed. However, the only way to get an unnumbered build of AbiWord is to build it yourself. Thus, if the script detects an unnumbered build it should say that you have a non-standard build, and that the website has no idea whether you are out of date or right on the bleeding edge. Opening, for now.
This open the correct web site. As such the bug is being marked fixed.
Verified. Closing.
