Description:   Opened: 2001-06-25 10:20
During a cut & paste, or saving to text operation. All quotes, single and
double are converted to question marks. Requiring manual touch-up's to the
document, or pasted text. I've seen other gtk apps exhibit this behavior so it
might be a glib/gdk/gtk issue. Same behavior with or without smart quotes.

Text below was pasted from my abi-word 0.7.14
-------------------------
Abi-Word exhibit?s this behavior. Thier?s, yours?, ?isn?t that cool?"

----Should have read:
Abi-Word exhibit's this behavior. Thier's, yours?, "isn't that cool?"

------------
Saving as a text file gives exact same result.

------- Comment #1 From Alan 2001-08-10 16:36:48 -------

Unable to replicate on Windows 2000 using abiword v0.9.0-1
Must be Linux specific

------- Comment #2 From David Chart 2001-08-18 11:12:08 -------
With post-0.9.1 CVS, on Linux/GNOME, I only get this behaviour with smart
quotes, which means that this is the same bug as 1370. Closing duplicate.
