So, I tried to print a long document (Arial, 10pt, 0.5" margins) and realized that the output was not WYSIWYG, either as PS or in print preview. What happens is that the text composer somehow fits a fraction more words onto each page than the printing renderer, so that each printed page contains fewer words than the displayed page, and the last printed page does not contain the end of the actual text. I'd attach the .abw and .ps file but it is a rather personal communication. :/ To explain it another way: On screen: on the screen the page has this many lines printed: on the screen the page has this many Hope that helps. If this isn't a known bug, I'm more than happy to test/log/debug anything you might want to suggest. BTW, this is on Abi 0.7.14, as compiled and released by Ximian, Inc.
As an addendum: I tried this with some of the other fonts supplied by Abi and they seem to have similar problems. Hope that helps.
That is actually a bug in gnome-print. Assignee will confirm.
I have noticed the same, specialy when the font sizes are something other then default. For instance, when I print a one page notice with really large fonts, all the spaces are squashed together, and sometimes the letters as well. It is the same for the windows builds, so I assume it is not a gnome-print problem.
