abiword 0.7.14 / ximian gnome on redhat linux 7.1

abiword does not recognize input from the numeric keypad of a standard
101-keyboard with numlock on (i.e. you can use it to navigate but not enter
numbers).

------- Comment #1 From Dom Lachowicz 2001-06-11 13:50:37 -------
This was fixed by me in CVS

------- Comment #2 From Tim 2001-07-09 12:01:56 -------
I am still seeing this problem as of July 8, 01 in CVS.

This bug may still exist, or may exist again. See the screenshot including
AbiWord on the 2nd page of this RedHat 8.0 review where the author complains
about this very thing:

Reopening on behalf of Eugenia Loli-Queru:
(Using the AbiWord shipped with RedHat 8.0)

Hi Andrew, yes, I can confirm that I can't enter numbers with Abiword 1.0.2
using the numpad, even if the numlock was on or off. Please reopen the bug for
me, because I don't have an account on the abiword bugzilla.
It would be nice to have Abiword for GTK+ 2.x only indeed, so this way it
should be able to see and use the TTF fonts correctly I guess. It is a step
forward and I think it should persued.

thanks,
Eugenia

fixe

------- Comment #9 From Hubert Figuiere 2002-10-02 12:36:27 -------
I could not reproduce in 1.0.3 or STABLE, and I could not apply the fix to
STABLE. Considering fixed for STABLE.

NOT VERIFIED

------- Comment #10 From Jeremy Katz 2002-10-07 10:42:13 -------
I think that the key to reproducing it is being in a UTF-8 locale. Using
numlock doesn't work with LANG set to en_US.UTF-8 but works just fine when LANG
is en_US.

------- Comment #11 From Andrew Dunbar 2002-10-07 23:38:20 -------
Adding "intl" keyword because of the UTF-8 link.

------- Comment #12 From Dom Lachowicz 2002-10-29 15:24:27 -------
works on head regardless of UTF-8 or not

------- Comment #13 From Dom Lachowicz 2003-02-19 13:19:41 -------
works fine in cvs head on redhat 8.0. my LANG is en_US.UTF-8. stable can do
without this fix

------- Comment #14 From Uri David Akavia 2003-04-19 15:37:38 -------
Verified works, even on LANG=en_US.UTF-8 (ABIWORD 1.9.0)

------- Comment #15 From Rob Staudinger 2007-01-16 17:39:27 -------
gnome component is no more
