Hi Guys.

Problem/wish in a nut shell.
I want to be able to use black background color in Abiword and a other colours
of my taste for fonts and stuff.
I need this becasue my eyes cant deal with a white background so working with
AbiWord is out of question ofr ne the way it is.

So I propse that you guys "enhance" Abiword either to ct in similar way as
Windoze MS Word which takes on the colours specified by the control panel, in
which case you guys should let the gnome theme background colour decide.
Or you should just allow a preference menu which allows for custum colour.

I would love to switch to Abiword it looks so cool, but untill this little
enhancement has been made I guess emacs will continue to RULE! ( DID i really
write that? Emacs rules :-) I guess so.

Go Abi Hackers

Brgds
/Alan

This is actually already done by us. You have 2 choices:

1) Change the visable && printable background color
2) Just change the visible bg color, still printing on white paper

For #1, go to Format->Background and play around
For #2, go to the preferences tab and allow usage of bg colors other than white

You also need to use the toolbar to change the font color, which I suspect
would
leave you printing white on white. However, that's a different feature request.
I can set Abi to have white text on a black ground, so we already do this.
Closing.
