Shortcut for quit should be ctrl+Q as it seems to be the standard in GNOME.
Alt-F4 on the other side is not.

------- Comment #1 From Hubert Figuiere 2001-04-13 03:30:56 -------
Dom acknowledged it.

------- Comment #2 From Alan 2001-06-04 11:56:54 -------
This is horrible and i cringe every time i see it, i cannot think of any other
application that labels Alt+F4 as the shortcut.

Please change to (key)+Q
[as (key) varies depending on OS]

Alt + F4 will also close the window for Microsoft users, but there is no point
having it marked as the as the shortcut for Quit.

Adding my vote

currently on windows the shortcut crtl+N spawns a new window, but it is not
labelled in the menu.

You could probably add Ctrl+Q as a shortcut (without labelling it) so long as it
does not conflict with anything else.

Although in my opinion Ctrl+Q should be labelled and Alt+4 should be hidden

Fix

------- Comment #6 From Nils Barth 2001-07-18 00:11:30 -------
Alan: Ctrl-N brings up a new blank document, while File->New brings up a
dialog;
thus, Ctrl-N isn't really a shortcut for the menuitem, and is not listed as
such.
