<begin> Click on abiword icon. The size of the application window is not full screen. Click on maximize button. Click on File->Exit Click on abiword icon. The size of the application window is not full screen. <end> Abiword does not remember its window size state as with other window applications (MS IE, MS Word, Mozilla for Windows)
I think that AbiWord on Win32 should be maximised by default (as in coded that way). The current half-maximised window (Abiword's win32 default) isn't even big enough to show one full line of text without scrolling. What's worse, seemingly every windows application except Abiword doesn't remember that you've closed the program maximised... it reopens it next time half-maximised, and this is really frustrating.
When running in high resolutions, this is frustrating. You open the window, and it spans your entire screen, when it should only be as wide as the page. The toolbars should also remember where you placed them.
